Succulent Modern Moorish Mosaic Pot

Modern Moorish Mosaic Succulent / Cactus Plant Pot Set
Modern Moorish Mosaic Plant Pot
I've had these terracotta plant pots for a while. I really love the simple shape of them, but wasn't really sure what to use them for as they are fairly small for most plants. But then I realised that succulents and cactus would be perfect in them. Which then got me thinking about dry, hot, desert, ancient culture, and I came up with a mosaic design that I hope has a feel of all of that plus is a little bit modern too with the shiny iridescent tiles and translucent tiles giving depth and interest, hence the name Modern Moorish as a nod to both styles. They would look great in the garden or in the house. I really like how they've turned out. In fact, I'm going to make a matching bird bath using these shapes too.

Mosaic Plant Pot Garden Hanging Decorations

Aqua Glass Heart Pot Decoration

These mosaic garden plant pot shaped decorations are designed to hang flush against a fence, or on a shed, or wall. They both have a translucent glass heart sitting proud of the mosaic so the light can shine through it. The hearts are both surrounded by complimenting iridescent tiles that have a metallic finish.

The green pot has a pea green rim, and bands of apple and mint greens on the pot. The aqua pot has a dark sea rim, with bands of light sea and turquoise on the pot. Both pots are tiled on all sides, but the reverse of each pot has been left unfinished, as it's designed not to be seen.

Grow Your Own Accessories

Mosaic Daisy Plant Pot Cane Toppers
Mosaic Daisy Plant Pot Cane Topper

I'm going daisy mad this year with my new items. Following in from my new daisy bird bath colour version, I've now got these decorative daisy plant pots that can also be used as cane toppers. I have always wanted to try and glam up the veg bed a bit. It looks nice when all the plants are in flower, but sometimes it all goes a bit green and flat looking. So this year I am making a proper effort to get some decorative items that can be used to add colour and interest in the veg bed. But, if you haven't got a veg bed, they can always be used as cane toppers in the flower border. Or just left empty and put in amongst other pots as a feature. There are loads of uses for them. And you're getting a pair, so twice the fun of deciding what to do with them.

Heathland Mosaic Plant Flower Pot Set

Heathland Mosaic Garden Herb Plant Flower Pot Set

Heathland Pots and Bird Box
Another addition to my new Landscape range. I've already listed a couple of bird boxes in the Coast, and Heathland palettes. I've now got this set of 3 Heathland flower pots in stock. I think these would look great with silvery plants like lavender, or succulents, or herbs. Which are perfect for the Heathland theme too as it's a hot, dry landscape which is just what these plants like.

This pot set will come with a free mini packet of Thyme seeds to get you started if you haven't got any herb plants. Maybe they could be used in the kitchen to have fresh herbs there all year (you'll need to stand them on a saucer, or tray to catch the water). You could colour co-ordinate your herbs to the pots, so some basil in the small one, some chives in the medium, and a thyme plant in the big one. And you could place the pots outdoors in the summer and bring them indoors for the winter. The pots are designed to be used outdoors all year if needed though, and would look great in the garden adding colour.

Sunshine!

We've finally got some proper sunshine. At last the garden is starting to look green and lush. And it's given me the opportunity to get some updated photos of a few of my items. The Mosaic Mushrooms look great tucked in amongst the plants, just peeping out to discover when you walk past. And the Mediterranean Hearts pot is a great pot to put a succulent plant in to give a hint of the Med in your garden.

Hopefully the sunshine will continue and we can enjoy it as much as the plants are.

GROW!

GROW Contemporary Mosaic Garden Decoration

GROW Contemporary Concrete Garden Ornamnet

This is my latest project. I've seen a lot of letters for use in the home, with 'bake', 'home' etc. Nothing for the garden though. So I decided to sort that out. And this is what I've come up with - GROW! I've made a plain version, and a mosiac version. I can see these decorating allsorts of things. You could place them around the base of a tree, in a raised bed, they'd be useful in the veg bed for weighting down netting, you could tilt them up against a wall, or shed, place them flat in a border.........

I could go on. I have pictures of some of the uses above on the item pages on my website. Pop over and take a look.

Goldfish and The Med.

Goldfish Pond Mosaic Garden Plant Pot

When I was painting the hearts on my denim patchwork style Bright Hearts pot I was painting an orange heart onto a blue background which gave me the idea to paint some goldfish onto a turquoise tile and have them swimming round the outside of a pot. So the Goldfish Pond Pot was created. I've added some pond grasses in matt and transluscent green, and some transluscent aqua tiles to add to the watery feel, and to add depth to the design. I think it would look great with something grassy sticking out of the top, giving the impression that the grasses are growing out of the water like reeds. It would definitely be a fun addition to the garden.

Mediterranean Hearts Mosaic Plant Pot

The other mosaic pot I've made was inspired in part by the glass hearts that are included. The colours of the hearts are aqua and mid green. They also have a very watery quality to them, so I created a tile pallete to compliment them and that, in turn, reminded me of the colours of the Mediterranean. So it became the Mediterranean Hearts Pot, which I think fits well. People always think fondly of The Med. With the terracotta of the pot as well it's got a really nice warm look to it. This pot would look really good with a Mediterraean type plant in it, like something with silver leaves, or a cactus or succulent, or a geranium. The plant and pot would then make a fab Mothers Day gift for a garden loving mum.

Folksy Handmade - Denim

Bright Hearts Mosaic Garden Plant Pot

I have been experimenting with handpainting colour on pattern again, and I've come up with this Bright Hearts Mosaic Plant Pot. I wanted a random pattern of colourful hearts on a muted mixed background. The blues were perfect as a base for the orange, yellow and magenta hearts.

It was only when the pot was finished that I realised it reminded me a bit of denim patchwork. And there was the inspiration for this week's Folksy Friday collection, which has been added to January's board. Click the link below to see the new items -

The Abstract Collection

Purple & Blue Abstract Mosaic Plant Pot

Purple & Blue Abstract Bird Bath Saucer and Pot Base

I can call it a collection now because I've finished the pot. At 15cm it is the perfect size to use as a base for my Abstract bird bath. But even on it's own its a great way of adding colour to your garden. The colours used are exactly the same as the bird bath, including the ribbed rim which gives instant age.
