I'm going to use it to create nature and wildlife inspired items that could be given as gifts to wildife, or garden lovers, or as a gift to yourself. This week, my Folksy Friday is inspired by my new wind chime. It got me thinking, if there was no breeze, it wouldn't work. And, what other things wouldn't work without a breeze? A dandelion clock wouldn't be much use without a breeze. A cloud needs wind to spread the rain inland. A hot air balloon, or a sail boat trip would be a bit dull without wind. And a kite is just a piece of fabric on a frame without wind. You wouldn't get much flour from a windmill without wind either. Loads of things depend on a breeze.

Today's Folksy Friday is a simple one, celebrating the colour green. I don't think anyone can dislike green as a colour because there are so many shades to choose from. The yellowy end, to the dark nearly black end, with all the bluey, and pastel, and bright shades in between. Lime, fern, moss, bright, spring, jade, sea, forest, emerald, pistachio, mint, willow, apple........ What's your favourite?

Folksy Handmade - Cats and Dogs

I've done gift guides for Gardeners, one for Men, and there were collections of Scarves, and another with things with Shape designs on, which both had loads of choices and ideas in. So for this week's Folksy Friday I've decided to do a list for our furry friends. This is a list for cats and dogs, but some of the things can be used for other small pets too. There's some lovely stuff for the pampered pooches, and cosseted cats in our households here.

Folksy Handmade - Shapes

I was trying to think of a theme for this week's Folksy Friday, as I've been doing gift idea lists. I started off with a funky brights train of thought. Then I came across a couple of items that the patterns gave me the new idea of shapes. All these items have designs made with shapes, and a lot of them are bright and colourful too, so still fit my funky brights original idea. These would make great gifts for anyone that likes lots of colour, or clean, retro design. Like me. :  )
