Vintage Fabric Effect Mosaic House Number

Vintage Fabric Look Mosaic House Numbers
Vintage Fabric Look Mosaic House Number

These house number mosaic plaques have been designed to look like they've got a vintage Liberty style fabric background. The mosaic is made up of small flowers, and butterflies, filled in with small leaves. The grout on the front design has then been overpainted with weatherproof paint to create a rough texture to finish the vintage fabric look.

Vintage Flowers Mosaic Garden Bird Bath

Vintage Flowers Mosaic Garden Bird Bath

The lovely neutral, natural palette used for the mosaic in this Vintage Flowers bird bath give the flowery pattern a fab vintage fabric look. The neutral tones are used in a graduated style on the border of the bird bath. It's a bird bath that would suit any style of garden, contemporary to cottage.

Three Orange Butterflies Jade Mosaic Garden Bird Bath

Three Orange Butterflies Jade Mosaic Garden Bird Bath

The butterflies on this bird bath have iridescent wings that shine with metallic magenta and gold when the light catches them. With the two shades of jade making up the background it gives this bird bath a very exotic look. The colours also remind me of vintage fabric like William Morris, or Liberty. It's a lovely bird bath that would fit into any style of garden.

Folksy Handmade - Contemporary Christmas

Suncatcher Christmas Trees
I just worked out how many Folksy Fridays there are left until Christmas. Taking out the last Friday before Christmas, because it's past the last posting date, there are only 8. So I think it's about time I started my Gift Ideas and Christmas Decoration Collections. I'll be doing gift lists aimed at certain people, and collections of similar style decorations to help give a bit of Christmas inspiration. I love a good root around for the Christmas Folksy Fridays. There's always some gems that I find in all the new shops I come across.

Anyway, this week I'm doing Contemporary Christmas. So here is a selection of decorations, cards, and  tags with a modern look and feel.

For more details on any of the items click on the pic to be taken to the shop.

Folksy Handmade - Supplies

As I have made a move into selling my wool flowers, I thought for this week's Folksy Friday I'd go and have a nose around in the Supplies section and see what else I could find. Blimey! What a fantastic selection of handmade goodies. I've picked out things that caught my eye, but there are tons to choose from. I would recommend anyone wanting a bit of inspiration to have a hunt through. You're bound to see something that will inspire you to create something using it.

Anyway, please find a small taster of what's on offer below. Links to the shops in the menu under the gallery, and a selection of the items will be on my ongoing Folksy Friday Pinterest board here -

Folksy Handmade - Abstract

I'll be honest, I'm not really sure what abstract means when it comes to art and design. Not officially anyway. I know what I personally think it is, and I've put together a collection of items based on my idea of abstract, which is something represented by shapes and colour in a loose way. You might have a different idea of what abstract is. There's probably loads of interpretations. But I hope you like my selections anyway.

The menu of shop links is below the gallery, and see a selection of the items on the Pinterest board using the Folksy Handmade link -
