I Love Birds Retro 'Badge' Bird Bath

Here is the 2nd in my 'I Heart' range. After making the Ripple bird bath I was thinking about expanding that range, but then I was thinking of expanding the 'I Heart' range too. Here is the solution. The I Love Birds 'Badge' Bird Bath.

It's designed with an 80's style 'I Heart' badge in mind, and the rim is painted silver to resemble the metal edge of a badge.

A quirky, fun ornament for people who love wildlife.

I Love Carrots Mosaic Garden Hanging Ornament

Another new idea for me. I liked the classic 'I heart' design. So I decided to use it with a grow your own theme. I might expand this range because I think they would look really good as a set dotted around a veg bed. But for the meantime, the first design is I Love Carrots.

Alternatively, wouldn't this look good decorating a rabbit's hutch? It'd make it a really contemporary bunny des res. Keep an eye on my Folksy shop if you like this, more maybe coming soon.

Ripples - Bird bath and pot

Ripple Mosaic Bird Bath

As promised, here is the mosaic bird bath that I have been working on. I am really pleased with it. It looks really contemporary with the colours used. The design is a pebble that has been dropped into the bird bath creating coloured ripples across the surface.

Ripple Mosaic Plant Pot
I have also listed another in my plant pot range. This Ripple pot matches the bird bath and could be used as a stand for it, or as a colourful cane topper as well as a funky plant pot.

Lots of Pots

Fruity Strawberry Mosaic Plant Pot
More items for the garden range in my shop. This time some plant pots. The Fruity Strawberry one is named like that because I've got lots of fruit colours in the design. Apple green, lime green, mint (not a fruit but it can be used with fruit) green, tangerine orange, and strawberry red. This pot would look really good with a small strawberry plant in and the fruits trailing over the edge of the pot.

Lavender and Herb Mosaic Plant Pot
The other pot is called Lavender and Herb. The lilac tile is just like a lavender flower colour, and the grey, and greens are very like the range of foliage you can get with lavender. Or herbs. The colours also remind me of thyme and rosemary. I think it would look great with a small lavender, or herb plant in it.

Keep an eye on my blog, or shop, for more in the plant pot range coming soon. I'm also working on a mosaic birdbath which I'm really pleased with how it's turning out. It should be ready to list in the next couple of days.

Two True Blue Mosaic Garden Hanger

Another of my mosaic garden ornaments, this time in shades of aqua. It's a double mosaic joined with filament with aqua, silver and blue beads embellising the thread. This one has mirror on it, which casts lovely dots of light around the garden when the sun catches it.

'Shadow Shoal' matching mirror and pot

The colours of the tiles used on this pot and mirror have inspired the extra embellished design. The different shades of sea green were perfect for adding a shoal of silver fish to. I have called this mini-range Shadow Shoal because the fish shine and fade, as the light angle changes, as you walk by the items. Like a flash of silver as a shoal quickly turns.

I like the idea that craft materials can be added to with a different material to make something new. So I've used mosaic tile as a colour base for the silver ceramic painted fish. It gives the mosaic an added interest.

Moroccan Moorish Mosaic Pot

I'm going to try and make a Moroccan Courtyard in a miniscule space in my garden. Because it's so small I have made some Moorish style mosaic pieces to add the feel because I won't be able to get masses of plants in there. I liked the pattern so much I put it on an ali baba shaped pot that I found in a charity shop which is now in my shop.
